Corduroy is a ridged velvet fabric that has distinctive parallel 'cords'.It is usually made of cotton or cotton blended with man-made fabrics such as rayon or polyester. It is generally used to make garments such as trousers, shirts, jackets and dresses.Corduroy is most often made of cotton or a cotton blend (like cotton and wool). To make corduroy (or any woven fabric), manufacturers use a loom to weave many individual threads (the vertical warp threads and the horizontal weft threads) into a larger whole. This sturdy fabric has a subtle one-way stretch making it perfect for trousers, skirts and jackets. Please note, although extra care is taken when cutting & packing this fabric, this is a textural fabric and some bruising may occur in transit due to the transport handling that is outside our control.
